What is machine learning?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Machine learning is the use of artificial intelligence to help machines make predictions based on past experience. We can say that ML is a subset of artificial intelligence. Data quality and originality are exemplary. The result of this step represents the data that will be used for the training purpose.<\/p>\n

After the data is collected, it is processed to train the machines. Next, filters are used to remove errors, handle missing data type conversions, normalization, and missing values.<\/p>\n

To measure the objective performance of a particular model, it’s a good idea to use a range of different metrics. Then you can compare the model to previous data for testing purposes.<\/p>\n

To improve performance, you have to adjust model parameters. Then, the tested data is used to predict the performance of the model in the real world. This is why many industries are hiring the services of machine learning professionals to develop machine learning based applications.<\/p>\n

What is data science?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Unlike machine learning, data scientists use mathematics, statistics, and subject matter expertise in order to gather a large amount of data from various sources. Once the data is collected, they can apply ML tendencies and predictive analysis to obtain new information from the data collected. Based on business requirements, they understand the data and present it to the public.<\/p>\n

Data science process <\/strong><\/p>\n

To define the data science process, we can say that there are different dimensions of data collection. They include data collection, modeling, analysis, problem solving, decision support, data collection design, analysis process, data exploration, visualization and communication of results, and giving answers to questions.<\/p>\n

We cannot go into details of these aspects as it would make the article longer. So, we have just mentioned each aspect in brief.<\/p>\n

Machine learning relies heavily on available data. Therefore, they have a strong relationship with each other. Therefore, we can say that both terms are related.<\/p>\n

ML is a good choice for data science. The reason is that data science is a broad term for different kinds of disciplines. Experts use different ML techniques such as supervised clustering and regression. On the other hand, data science is an umbrella term that may not be about complex algorithms.<\/p>\n
